August 11th Sun-Earth Forecast

The activity forecast for the sun is expected to be low. But there is still a slight chance for an M-class event from Active Region 1542 (AR 1542).
Earth's geomagnetic field is expected to be at quiet to unsettled levels, with a slight chance for an isolated active period over August 11th and 12th. This elevated activity is expected as Earth's response to the arrival from the Sun of a co-rotating interaction region and coronal hole, coupled with two magnetic filaments that lifted off the Sun on August 7th and 8th. On August 13th, conditions are expected to return to quiet levels. Stay tuned...
