August 1st Sun-Earth Forecast

The sun is relatively quiet for the moment. According to the forecasters at NOAA, solar activity is expected to be low with a chance for M-class solar flares.

Above Earth, the geomagnetic field is expected to be mostly quiet on August 1st. On August 2nd, geomagnetic activity is expected to be at quiet to unsettled levels with possible isolated active periods due to effects from the coronal mass ejection (CME) produced by Active Region 1532 (AR 1532) on Saturday, July 28th. And geomagnetic activity is expected to be quiet to unsettled on August 3rd.
