Celestial coordinates (J2000) R.A. 18h 15m 58.70s Dec -36deg 14m 35.6s. Apparent magnitude 17.39.

Asteroid 115561 Frankherbert (2003 UF80) has its closest approach to Earth (2.214 AU). 115561 Frankherbert is a main-belt asteroid discovered on October 20th, 2003, from George Observatory, Needville, Texas, by American geophysicist and amateur astronomer William G. Dillon and American television production manager and amateur astronomer Don J. Wells. 115561 Frankherbert is named after American science fiction writer Frank Herbert. Celestial coordinates (J2000) R.A. 18h 55m 06.52s Dec -12deg 11m 41.4s. Apparent magnitude 19.20.
